UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS

SLU undergraduate programs are offered on campus or online on our Virtual Learning Platform. Our undergraduate degree program requires a minimum of one hundred and twenty (120) credit units.

Admission is open to students who meet the following criteria:
Have a GCE Advanced Level in at least 2 Subjects  
Have a Diploma or Transfer courses from an accredited or authorized institution
Have a Teacher's Grade One Certificate (If applying for Teacher education)

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • BAC or GCE A/Level in at least 02 Subjects 

  • Copy of Birth Certificate 

  • Copy of National ID Card or passport 

  • 2 Passport size photograph (4×4) 

  • Pay Admission Application fee 

NB: 

  • Program specific requirements may also apply depending on your area of interest and amount of prior learning experience transferred. For example, O/Level Mathematics is required for admission into some programs.

  • Prospective students without a pass in O/Level English and Mathematics may be allowed to apply and take an English Language or Mathematics Proficiency Test. Students who pass the Proficiency Test will be granted Conditional Admission and must fulfil the requirement for a pass in these subjects at the GCE O/Level before graduation. 

POSTGRADUATE ADMISSIONS

The professional masters programs at St Lawrence University are offered on campus or online on our Virtual Learning Platform. The minimum requirement for admission into the SLU graduate programs is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Graduation from SLU Master’s degree requires a minimum forty-five (45) credit hours.

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

  • BAC or A/Level and O/Level Certificates or Transcript

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalence from an approved university 

  • ​​Letter of Intent* (and Resume where applicable)

  • A Letter of Recommendation 

  • Copy of Birth Certificate 

  • Copy of National ID Card or passport

  • 4-passport photograph (4×4)

  • Pay Admission Application fees 


*A letter of intent should include all or some of the following points: 

  • address your preparedness for graduate study, ability to succeed at the graduate level and professional goals and objectives. 

  • address what you expects to achieve through graduate level study in your intended program of study. 

  • indicate how your past experiences have prepared you for graduate study. 

  • indicate how your past experiences have prepared you for a graduate degree in Public History and to succeed at the graduate level.

  • address what you expects to achieve through graduate level study. The letter should be typed and a maximum of 750 words in length.
